How Sales Tax Works with Framico

Written by Sharma
Updated over 2 months ago

Your purchases from Framico are considered business-to-business (B2B) transactions. For B2B sales, you can often be exempt from sales tax if you provide a valid resale certificate.

Currently, Framico only applies sales tax for the state of California.

This means:

  • If your business is located outside California, or if you are an international seller, you generally will not be charged sales tax on your Framico orders.

  • If your billing address is in California, sales tax will be applied when your shipping address is also in California. You can avoid this charge by submitting a valid California sales tax exemption or resale certificate for your account.

It is your responsibility to understand and collect any sales tax due from your own customers for your final product sales.

How to Apply for Sales Tax Exemption in California

To avoid paying sales tax on your Framico production orders, you need to provide a valid state-issued resale or exemption certificate. This is a key step for managing your account billing.

Here is how to upload your certificate:

  1. Log in to your Framico account.

  2. Go to Settings.

  3. Navigate to the Tax Details section.

  4. Upload your official certificate document.

Once our team reviews and approves your document, California sales tax will no longer be applied to your eligible order fulfillment charges.
